HOW IT WORKS//CARRIER SOLUTIONS

Service providers also use and benefit from deploying cellular repeaters to enhance and expand network coverage. This type of repeater is called a Narrow Band or Band Selective Repeater.
These units are designed to support the frequency band of a specific service provider, while rejecting all other carriers by advanced filtering capabilities. Frequency spectrums are typically cut up into blocks for easy identification. For service providers making the investment, it is understandable that this is the type of repeater they would prefer.
In this category of repeater, there are 2 main types; Analog and Digital. Analog repeaters have a fixed bandwidth pre-set from the factory, whereas digital repeaters allow the end user to select the desired band they need to support in the field and filter out all the other bands.
While a digital repeater has its advantages in this respect, together with minimal lead time, they are also considerably more expensive and in many cases never warrant the additional cost. The reason is because, after making enormous investments to purchase a portion of the spectrum, service providers typically hold on to their band allocations for many years so a fixed band analog unit serves this purpose well. At present, JDTECK only offers analog repeaters.
Narrow band selective repeaters are also rated by output power and so, the size of the area you need to cover will determine the units we recommend. We also need the uplink and downlink channels, if single or dual band frequencies need to be supported, and if the supported blocks are contiguous or not (adjacent).
