JDTECK only uses 50 Ohm Impedance Coax in any of our applications or deployments. That's because 50 Ohm coax is designed specifically for cellular and data applications where full duplex transmission is required, especially at high frequencies.

In a bid increase profit margins at the expense of performance,  some companies supply 75 Ohm coax for use with cellular equipment as a cheap substitute. However, doing so will not only affect the voice quality of your phone calls and reduce data transmission speeds, but it will also shorten the life span of your repeater system. How so? Well, an impedance mismatch will increase the VSWR value (Vertical Standing Wave Ratio). Or in simpler terms, it will decrease how efficient the signal flows through the coaxial line causing a high level of signal reflection. Signal reflection will not only affect the true potential voice quality of the call, but will also drastically reduce the life span of your product. In a few short years, you would be out looking for a replacement.

F Type Connectors which is commonly supplied with 75 Ohm coax is not designed for cellular or data applications. Connectors are also rated by the frequencies they are designed to support and F connectors were never designed for cellular applications. They reduce the performance of your system drastically if used.
